The Mt. Tabor staff hopes you have a fun and safe Labor Day weekend!
With the Labor Day holiday weekend comes the unofficial end of summer. The Mt. Tabor Builders staff members hope it was a great season for you and hope autumn is even better. Then, of course the holidays will arrive soon thereafter. But before the turkey and eggnog are served, the fall is a great time to
Mt. Tabor‘s representatives are ready, willing and able to have meetings to listen to the ideas of those thinking of major construction projects in 2027. For those thinking about major home improvement projects, the team may have time to help complete these before carols fill the air. Replacement windows, upgraded exterior doors and new roofing can make big differences for your home.
September is National Preparedness Month
The Tri-state area, like most areas, is not a stranger to weather emergencies and frigid winters. The home improvement projects mentioned above can help keep all kinds of extreme weather outside your home. In turn, your family will be better protected and surrounded by comfortable temperatures with
Mt. Tabor Builders uses Andersen Windows in part because the company was the first window manufacturer to be named an ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year. The superior design and materials are what separate the cheapest from the better building materials. Plus, Andersen Windows come in many styles, to lower utility bills and upgrade the look of your home.
The quality product AND quality installation ensure these replacement windows will be as efficient as advertised. That statement doesn’t just apply to windows. Andersen also makes high quality exterior doors.
There are several good reasons to replace exterior doors, including their many styles to add beauty to your home. Most people can live with an outdated design, but not issues like air leaks, rot and possible security breaches.
Mt. Tabor‘s construction pros install Andersen doors and Therma-Tru Entry Doors. Both are well-designed, and add beauty and security to your home. The Therma-Tru doors are constructed of rust- and dent-resistant fiberglass. They come ready to paint or stain to match or compliment your home’s design features.
Roof replacements by Mt. Tabor’s home improvement experts

Two important things to consider when your home needs a roof replacement are the quality of the roofing product and quality of the installer. Mt. Tabor uses the GAF brand due to the durability and aesthetic appeal of the product. The GAF StainGuard protection keeps algae — which can breakdown shingles — from taking hold. The roofing materials come in a wide range of styles and colors to fit any architectural style and personal taste.

Words about Mt. Tabor’s labor on this Labor Day
“From the first meeting, we had the idea, but they (Willie and Royce Eby of Mt. Tabor Builders) guided us into exactly what we wanted. They took what we had and made some suggestions and adapted some things that enveloped our ideas.
“All around from start to finish, it was an excellent experience.” — Anne Marie Downey, Williamsport, MD
Labor Day’s history and trivia
Beginning in the late 19th century, as the trade union and labor movements grew, trade unionists proposed that a day be set aside to celebrate workers. In 1887, Oregon was the first state of the United States to make it a local holiday. By the time it became an official federal holiday in 1894, 30 states officially celebrated Labor Day.
The holiday honors the American labor movement and the contributions hard working individuals have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of this country.
