The Washington County Home Builder’s Home Show is the place to talk to experts about your future building project.

The building experts from Mt. Tabor Builders will be available to talk dream homes and building plans May 1st and 2nd at Hagerstown Community College. The campus’ ARCC building is once again the site of this year’s Home Show.

“We just like to meet people, answer their questions and talk with them from a relaxed, no pressure approach” says Willie Eby, founder of the Clear Spring-based construction company. Willie and the Mt. Tabor team have been a regular participant at the popular two-day show. The 2020 event suffered the same fate of many events during the “year of the pandemic.” Home Show organizers have put safety protocols in place to keep attendees safe for the 2021 event.

Mt. Tabor’s Lead Designer Royce Eby says this is the perfect opportunity to “interview” those involved in designing and implementing your building project. He encourages folks to bring pictures and a lists of project desires to the conversation. Those discussions are just the beginning, because there are lots of details to be talked about over several meetings.

And Home Show attendees can have confidence in this process, as The Mt. Tabor team just celebrated 20 years of building custom homes in the Tri-state area. Within that time, they have also remodeled homes, added major additions, built in-law suites and finished many basements. These are the projects that Willie and Royce look forward to discussing at the Home Show.

Willie enjoys hearing about the different needs of the attendees that stop by the Mt. Tabor booth.

“Everyone has challenges,” says Willie. “With the young families, they’re having or raising children and are often moving up in their careers. The older folks have any number of challenges: from health issues to adult children with needs and just about anything you can think of.”

Home Show Details

The Home Show takes place Saturday, May 1st from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 2nd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults and free for children 12 and younger.
