This is the best time of year to meet with and interview home builders if your goal is to build a new home soon after the 
winter weather clears out of the area. While many custom builders stay busy through this time of year, snow, sleet and freezing temperatures often mean time better spent in the office than on the construction site.
Over the years, we at Mt. Tabor Builders, Inc. have had many winter meetings with potential clients that lead to signing a contract and starting that dream home in spring.
The result of these meetings is a gallery of homes in the Hagerstown, MD area and throughout the Tri-State region of Western Maryland, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
We appreciate those that come to the initial meeting very well-prepared, but understand when others come, well, not so prepared. Many people seemingly wake up one morning and think, “I really want to build a custom home,” or “We need a great room added on before we host our Super Bowl party next week.” Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but 
not as much as you might think.
No matter the preparedness, we know that most potential clients will meet with several contractors/home improvement specialists. We suggest that you come with lots of ideas and lots of questions as you interview the professional that will be in charge of what may likely be your largest investment. Be sure to ask about experience, licenses, insurance, warranties, communication processes, etc… Remember, you are the interviewer. You are the one in charge of picking the right contractor.
